Les Montels Villa is situated near Roujan, close to Pézenas,

The property is situated at the end of a small lane that passes

countryside. It has a quiet, calm and private environment.
The villa, built entirely of stone, is on a hill side and has
beautiful panoramic views
over the surrounding countryside – mainly vineyards, and
not so far away, the
village of Roujan.
The property has about 9,000 m2 of land, all of which is enclosed.
Walking around
this huge Mediterranean garden, tourists can discover olive and
almond trees,
pomegranate trees, a variety of other fruit trees, plus other
typical south of
France vegetation.
Two km away is the village of Roujan. This is a small and quiet
Languedoc village,
typical of the region. All the usual amenities are there including
baker’s shops,
grocery shops, bank and post office, as well as doctors, a dentist,
a pharmacy,
and two petrol stations.
In the surrounding area there are plenty of wine domains that
tourists can visit.
Here it is possible to taste and sample the many different regional
wines available.
And of course, this part of the south of France is just as famous
for its fine food,
with local cafés and restaurants serving traditional dishes.
There are plenty of things to see and do within walking distance
of the villa.
You can explore the local countryside by simply
walking around the different
vineyards using the many footpaths. Alternatively,
mountain bikes are available
to go further afield.

Pézenas has larger shops and supermarkets. There are also
many antiques shops
offering articles from a bygone age plus a variety of small shops
selling handcrafted
objects, many typical of the region.
Pézenas is also famous for being the home of Molière,
one of France’s greatest
playwrights. Molière spent part of his life in Pézenas,
writing and presenting his
plays for the Prince de Conti and the King Louis XIV. In more
modern times, the
town was the birthplace of a famous French singer and comedian,
Bobby Lapointe.
Mediterranean beaches. The closest beaches are around 20 minutes
away, driving
towards Sète and Cap d’Agde. Spain is just 1h30 away
via the motorway.
Mountains. The lake “lac du Salagou” is just 15 minutes
away and is a great tourist
attraction. A little further away is the mountainous region of
the Cévennes.
Here, tourists can visit the “Cirque de Mourèze”
or the gorges of Héric.
