Les Montels Villa is situated near Roujan, close to Pézenas, in the department
of Hérault, Languedoc.

The address is : Route de Neffiès, Les Montels, 34320 Roujan.

The property is situated at the end of a small lane that passes through the open
countryside. It has a quiet, calm and private environment.

The villa, built entirely of stone, is on a hill side and has beautiful panoramic views
over the surrounding countryside – mainly vineyards, and not so far away, the
village of Roujan.

The property has about 9,000 m2 of land, all of which is enclosed. Walking around
this huge Mediterranean garden, tourists can discover olive and almond trees,
pomegranate trees, a variety of other fruit trees, plus other typical south of
France vegetation.

Two km away is the village of Roujan. This is a small and quiet Languedoc village,
typical of the region. All the usual amenities are there including baker’s shops,
grocery shops, bank and post office, as well as doctors, a dentist, a pharmacy,
and two petrol stations.

In the surrounding area there are plenty of wine domains that tourists can visit.
Here it is possible to taste and sample the many different regional wines available.
And of course, this part of the south of France is just as famous for its fine food,
with local cafés and restaurants serving traditional dishes.

There are plenty of things to see and do within walking distance of the villa.

You can explore the local countryside by simply walking around the different

vineyards using the many footpaths. Alternatively, mountain bikes are available
to go further afield.

Pézenas has larger shops and supermarkets. There are also many antiques shops
offering articles from a bygone age plus a variety of small shops selling handcrafted
objects, many typical of the region.

Pézenas is also famous for being the home of Molière, one of France’s greatest
playwrights. Molière spent part of his life in Pézenas, writing and presenting his
plays for the Prince de Conti and the King Louis XIV. In more modern times, the
town was the birthplace of a famous French singer and comedian, Bobby Lapointe.

Mediterranean beaches. The closest beaches are around 20 minutes away, driving
towards Sète and Cap d’Agde. Spain is just 1h30 away via the motorway.

Mountains. The lake “lac du Salagou” is just 15 minutes away and is a great tourist
attraction. A little further away is the mountainous region of the Cévennes.
Here, tourists can visit the “Cirque de Mourèze” or the gorges of Héric.
